In our day to day life we tend to live a little bit outside of our selves. This is not said as a criticism of our modern times rather as a statement about the human condition. In the yoga poses (asanas) our aim isn’t to do something to the body but to focus our mind’s attention in the body so that we become the body. So asana practice is a chance to reunite our self – to come back to our own bodies, to re-forge the links with our own instincts, intuitions, feelings and insights so that we may live well. No class is better than any other, rather choose the one that is suitable for you.
